MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

At the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS), outstanding full-time faculty and leading practitioners bring theoretical frameworks, global perspectives, and hands-on New York know-how into the classroom. They capture the expertise and knowledge concentrated in many of the industries and creative sectors that define our region’s place on the world stage. And they shape them into accessible programs that reflect the high academic standards of NYU.

It is no wonder that over our nearly 75 year history, SCPS has evolved into perhaps the fullest expression of NYU’s founding ideals to be “In and Of the City,” and to provide “a system of rational and practical education fitting…and…open to all.” Today we are a comprehensive institution, offering esteemed undergraduate and masters’ degrees, as well as the nation’s most renowned offerings in continuing higher education.
