Prior to teaching at NYU-SCPS, John Doorley was head of corporate communications for Merck
& Co. Inc., from 1987 to 2000, during the time when the company was on several “most admired”
lists. Before joining Merck, he was the chief speech writer for the CEO of Hoffmann-La Roche
Inc.
