Registration Now Open for 2008 NYU Hospitality Investment Conference

NEW YORK April 22, 2008 — Registration is now open for the 30th Anniversary New York University International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference, hosted by the NYU Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management. NYU’s annual industry forum for hotel investment and finance will be held from June 1 to June 3, 2008 at The Waldorf=Astoria in New York City.

As the NYU conference enters its third decade, preliminary registration figures indicate a 15% increase over last year’s record attendance. NYU conference organizers strongly encourage advance, online registration, and advise that walk-in registration will be available on-site only on a space available basis.

Special anniversary programming at this year’s NYU conference includes the new “The Business of Hotels” general sessions on hotel branding, entertainment, investment, and deal making. In “ One on One with the CEOs,” Jonathan D. Gray, senior managing director and co-head of the real estate group, The Blackstone Group; J. Willard Marriott, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer, Marriott International, Inc; and Barry S. Sternlicht, chairman and chief executive officer, Starwood Capital Group will discuss insights and future trends with Dr. Lalia Rach, NYU Tisch Center divisional dean and HVS international chair.

Donald J. Trump, chairman and president of the Trump Organization, will be the featured luncheon speaker, and Frits van Paasschen, chief executive officer of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, will share his views for building, marketing, and sustaining brands in his Beyond the Boardroom interview with conference chair Jonathan M. Tisch. 2008 marks Mr. Tisch’s fourteenth consecutive year as chair.

As part of the NYU conference initiatives to remain environmentally friendly, in lieu of a traditional printed brochure, the conference brochure is available only online this year.
