NYU receives $10M donation
The Schack family donates money to create NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate.
The Real Estate Institute of New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies announced today it has received a $10 million gift, the largest in its 40-year history.
The donation was made by the Schack family, whose eponymous privately held-company owns prime commercial real estate throughout Manhattan. The funds are to be used for the creation of an endowment for faculty recruitment, as well as for research. In recognition of the gift, the school will change its name to NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate, effective immediately.
