NYU's CGA and Vital Voices Global Partnership Co-Host Performance of "SEVEN"

The Daily Beast's Tina Brown Will Moderate Panel

WHAT:     
SEVEN,” a unique theatrical collaboration between seven extraordinary women and seven award-winning female playwrights, offers an inspiring glimpse into the lives of women leaders who have overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to achieve justice and freedom.

Hosted by the Center for Global Affairs at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies and Vital Voices Global Partnership, the play is based on personal interviews with seven women leaders who fought to bring about progress in their home countries of Russia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, Guatemala, and Cambodia.
 
After the performance, five of the seven women will participate in a panel discussion on the challenges that women face worldwide and the actions that can be taken to continue our progress.

WHO:   
Diane von Furstenberg will introduce the performance, and Vital Voices Global Partnership co-founder and president Alyse Nelson Bloom will introduce the panel discussion, which will be moderated by The Daily Beast founder and editor-in-chief Tina Brown.
