Heyman Center Seminar: Is My Project Fundable?

Seminar on Securing New Federal Grants from Stimulus Package @ NYU, May 5 and 12, 2009

The NYU Heyman Center is hosting a timely two-session course exploring the new federal funding—worth hundreds of millions of dollars—initiated by the Obama administration through the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  Class sessions are designed for grant seekers in public/private partnerships, foundations, and municipal agencies in the areas of: energy and environment; education; workforce and economic development; healthcare and human services; housing and urban development.

The course includes navigational tools for understanding state and federal funding processes; working with elected officials and case studies; addressing project management issues; maximizing project impact and evaluation; financial accountability; and how to put a grant package together, from strategy to timely completion.  A private 20-minute consultation with Instructor Cora Edwards will follow the May 12 session, between 1:30-4:30 pm.
