Co-Interim Dean and Vice Dean, NYU-SCPS

Named co-interim dean of NYU-SCPS in 2011, Dennis Di Lorenzo shares oversight for the School with Bjorn Hanson, divisional dean, clinical professor, and HVS Chair, the NYU Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management. As vice dean of NYU-SCPS, Di Lorenzo oversees the Offices of Admissions; Career Development; Distance Learning; Facilities Management; Finance and Planning; Human Resources; Institutional Research and Analytics; Noncredit Registration and Student Services;  Information and Technology, and Strategic Marketing and Communications.

Having been at NYU for nearly 20 years and almost exclusively at NYU-SCPS, Di Lorenzo has an unrivaled, in-depth knowledge of every aspect of the School including expertise in guiding continuing education program development that mirrors the professional requirements and trends of industries whose future leaders we prepare for career entry and advancement, oversight of long-term marketing and recruitment strategies, and administering labor union contracts.

A key member of the senior management team and chief financial officer, Di Lorenzo is responsible for oversight of a number of major capital projects including, from inception through completion, the $60M renovation of 7 East 12th Street.
