Graduates and degree candidates who wish to participate in the NYU-SCPS Convocation ceremony and the University Commencement ceremony are required to wear academic attire. You will be able to place your order online at: http://colleges.herffjones.com/college/nyu/.
- Undergraduate candidates must order academic attire by Monday, April 22.
- Graduate candidates must order academic attire by Monday, April 15. If you miss this deadline, you still may order through April 22. Please choose "Masters - All Other" when ordering online, and pick up your attire at the Jerome S. Coles Sports & Recreation Center during regular distribution dates and times. You will find instructions on the following website: http://colleges.herffjones.com/college/nyu/.
Late Orders
If you miss the deadline to order your academic attire, you must place and pick up a late order beginning, Thursday, May 16, during regular distribution hours. Late orders will be available at the Barrie Dance Studio, on the first floor of the Jerome S. Coles Sports & Recreation Center, 181 Mercer Street between Bleecker and Houston Streets, where a representative of Herff Jones, Inc. will be available to take (if you have not submitted the order online by April 22) and/or fill your late order.
Please Note: All late orders must be paid by certified check, money order, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover), or cash. Please understand that the rental firm may have to make substitutions to fill late orders.
Graduate Students Academic Attire Distribution
Academic attire orders for graduates and degree candidates must be received online by April 15, and can be picked up from the Midtown Center, 11 West 42nd Street, 10th Floor. Be prepared to show valid photo I.D. to claim your rented attire.

Undergraduate Students Academic Attire Distribution
Academic attire orders for undergraduate degree candidates must be received online by April 22. Degree candidates can pick up their academic attire from Herff Jones, Inc. at the Jerome S. Coles Sports & Recreation Center, 181 Mercer Street between Bleecker and Houston Streets during the following times:

Please Note: Since the rented attire has been folded and placed in a bag for distribution, it is recommended that you pick it up in time to have it pressed before the ceremony.
Return Academic Attire
If you are only attending the NYU-SCPS Convocation ceremony at the Grand Hyatt, you will be able to drop off academic attire on the Conference Level of the hotel after the ceremony. For those planning to attend both the NYU-SCPS Convocation and the University Commencement, you will need to return your academic attire after Commencement at Yankee Stadium.
Third-Party Academic Attire Pick Up
If the degree candidate lives out of state or cannot pick up academic attire at the times indicated, a third party may pick up the academic attire, providing the following documentation is presented:
- Photocopy of student's I.D.
- Photo I.D. of self
- Signed letter from the degree candidate authorizing pick up
- A copy of the online order print-out
