    The School's Division of Programs in Business has developed the Core Business Competencies Graduate Certificate, an 18-credit program focused on updating the proficiencies needed to succeed in the current business climate.     New York University today named David J. Shea, Chairman and CEO of Bowne & Co., the winner of the 2010 Prism Award, presented annually by the graduate Graphic Communications Management and Technology program in recognition of distinguished leadership in the graphic communications media industry.
  • NYU's PR Master's Wins "Education Program of the Year" at 2010 PRWeek Awards

    PRWeek magazine gave its inaugural PR Education Program of the Year award this year to the Master of Science in Public Relations and Corporate Communications program at the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU-SCPS) for the second year in a row.
  • NYU Center for Global Affairs Releases Scenarios Report on the Future of Chinese Government and Policy

    The third report in the CGA Scenarios series, titled "China 2020," was released by the NYU Center for Global Affairs. Funded by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation, the CGA Scenarios Initiative is a mediated workshop series designed to produce cross-disciplinary, forward-looking thinking on countries and issues critical to U.S. national interests.

  • Graduate Publishing Program Announces Winner of 2010 Oscar Dystel Fellowship

    Graduate student Christina Quintero is the recipient of the 2010 Oscar Dystel Fellowship, announced the Master of Science in Publishing program at the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU-SCPS). The award is named for Oscar Dystel, a legendary leader in the publishing industry and former CEO and chairman of Bantam Books.
  • NYU Tisch Center Dean Lalia Rach Stepping Down at End of AY 2010, Joining Full-Time Faculty

    Lalia Rach, divisional dean and HVS professor of the NYU Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management, will step down from the dean’s role at the end of the 2009-10 academic year and return to teaching full-time, conducting research, and mentoring students at the Tisch Center.
