NEW YORK, December 7, 2011 – The NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate (scps.nyu.edu/schack) has welcomed two adjunct professors to its roster of full-time faculty.
Corinne Packard has become a clinical assistant professor at NYU Schack after serving as a visiting faculty member since fall 2010. She has been teaching a course on post-catastrophe reconstruction, focusing on redevelopment in Haiti in the aftermath of the January 2010 earthquake. In her new role, she will be teaching a course on the development process, as well as the capstone applied project in real estate development, in the M.S. in real estate development program.
Packard is the former vice president of development at the Hudson Yards Development Corporation (HYDC), the city entity charged with spearheading the implementation of the Hudson Yards development program. Prior to working at HYDC, she was a vice president of the financial services division of the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where she structured city incentives and discretionary capital investments in real estate and economic development projects throughout the five boroughs, including Atlantic Yards and Coney Island.
Packard earned a bachelor of arts in urban studies and real estate development and a master’s degree in city planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
Scott Robinson has joined the NYU Schack full-time faculty as a clinical assistant professor after serving as a visiting faculty member since spring 2009. He will teach courses in capital markets and analyzing REIT securities in the M.S. in real estate program.
Robinson previously served as a vice president in the Corporate and Investment Banking division of Citigroup from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, he was a senior analyst focusing on REITs and CMBS for Standard & Poor's from 1998 to 2006.
Robinson earned a B.S. in economics from the University of California-Riverside and an M.S. in real estate, with a concentration in finance, from the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate.
