NEW YORK, February 13, 2012 –Registration is now open for the 34th Annual New York University International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference. Hosted by the Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU-SCPS) and sponsored by leading hospitality organizations, the Conference is the premier hospitality finance and development forum of its kind at which global hotel CEOs, owners, developers, investors, lenders, analysts, and other hospitality leaders gather to discuss current issues and the future of the industry.
The NYU Hospitality Conference will be held June 3 -5, 2012 at The New York Marriott Marquis and will feature general sessions, workshops, and networking events to provide data, analysis, perspectives, insights, and opportunities. Tisch Center Divisional Dean Bjorn Hanson will serve as Conference Host.
Conference Chair Jonathan M. Tisch, chairman of Loews Hotels and co-chairman of the Board and Office of the President of Loews Corporation, and the executive planning committee have created a forum with dynamic discussion on fundamental and timely issues. Special program highlights include the annual “CEOs Check-In” panel on June 4 as top industry executives discuss leadership and strategy. The CEO line-up includes Eric A. Danziger, president and chief executive officer, Wyndham Hotel Group; Mark S. Hoplamazian, president and chief executive officer, Hyatt Hotels Corporation; Kirk Kinsell, president, the Americas, InterContinental Hotels Group; Gerald Lawless, executive chairman, Jumeirah Group; and Arne M. Sorenson, president and chief operating officer, Marriott International, Inc. This panel will be moderated by Dr. Lalia Rach, clinical professor at the NYU-SCPS Tisch Center.
On Tuesday, June 5, Conference Chair Tisch will bring invaluable insights to conference attendees in his annual “Beyond the Boardroom” interview with Chuck Todd, chief White House correspondent for NBC News. Also, this year's Lodging Hospitality Magazine's “Stephen W. Brener Silver Plate Award” will be given to Christopher J. Nassetta, president and chief executive officer, Hilton Worldwide.
