ALIplus Combines English-Language Study with Professional Training

NEW YORK, March 12, 2013 – The American Language Institute (ALI) of the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU-SCPS) is introducing nine new certificates in professional English, starting in Summer 2013.

The new certificates, known as ALIplus, are available in: the Business of Art; Digital Filmmaking; Financial Analysis; Finance Fundamentals; Graphic Production; Marketing Strategies and Execution; Media Technologies; Real Estate Development; and Real Estate and Investment.

These full-time, 12-week certificate programs are designed for international professionals and aspiring students who wish to combine English-language study through ALI with specialized professional training in a variety of NYU-SCPS noncredit certificate tracks.

To qualify for enrollment in these certificates, students must first register for and take the ALI Online Proficiency Test. Students who receive an English language proficiency rating of ALI Level 5 or higher on this test may register for these certificates. Additional testing, application, and NYU international student fees also apply.

All of the ALIplus certificate programs qualify for full-time, F-1 visa study. Details, deadlines, and additional application information are available at www.scps.nyu.edu/aliplus.
