NEW YORK, April 24, 2017—Top executives and thought leaders in the hospitality industry will be among the featured panelists at the 39th Annual NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference. Hosted by the NYU School of Professional Studies (NYUSPS) Jonathan M. Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism (sps.nyu.edu/tisch), the Conference will be held June 4-6 at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City, and will feature panel discussions, workshops, and networking events that provide data, analysis, perspectives, insights, and opportunities for professionals in the field. Jonathan M. Tisch, chairman and CEO of Loews Hotels & Co. and co-chairman of the board and member of the Office of the President of Loews Corporation is the Conference chair; Jeffrey Stewart, founder, Walnut Hill Advisors, serves as the Conference vice chair; and Dennis Di Lorenzo, Harvey J. Stedman Dean, NYU School of Professional Studies, serves as the Conference host.

Highlights of this year's conference include "The CEOs Check In: A View from the Top," which will take place on Monday, June 5. Moderated by Betty Liu, anchor, Bloomberg Television, and founder and chief executive officer, Radiate, this all-star panel will feature Thomas J. Baltimore, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer, Park Hotels & Resorts; Sébastien Bazin, chairman and chief executive officer, AccorHotels, who is also this year's Hotel News Now Stephen W. Brener Silver Plate Award recipient; Mark S. Hoplamazian, president and chief executive officer, Hyatt Hotels Corporation; and Dara Khosrowshahi, president and chief executive officer, Expedia.
The Leaders' Forum kicks off the second day of the Conference and features Eric Danziger, chief executive officer, Trump Hotels; David Kong, president and chief executive officer, Best Western Hotels & Resorts; James J. Murren, chairman and chief executive officer, MGM Resorts; James Riley, group chief executive, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group; and J. Allen Smith, president and chief executive officer, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Adam F. Weissenberg, national managing partner of audit clients and industries and global leader of travel, hospitality, and leisure for Deloitte, will moderate the discussion.
Also on June 6, "The Leaders Check In – Part Two" will focus on the most critical issues affecting the hotel industry. Scott D. Berman, principal and industry leader for hospitality and leisure, PwC, will serve as moderator. Featured panelists will include Chris Cahill, chief executive officer, Luxury Brands, AccorHotels; Steve Haggerty, global head of capital strategy, franchising, and select service, Hyatt Hotels Corporation; Kevin J. Jacobs, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Hilton; Elie Maalouf, chief executive officer, The Americas, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG); and Mit Shah, chief executive officer and senior managing principal, Noble Investment Group.
This year's one-on-one conversations will showcase two industry leaders. Rebecca Jarvis, who is chief business, technology, and economics correspondent for ABC News, will interview Arne Sorenson, president and chief executive officer of Marriott International, on Monday. The following day, during his annual "Beyond the Boardroom" session, Conference Chair Jonathan M. Tisch, will speak with special guest Nicolle Wallace, a political analyst and author.
In addition, Ian Schrager, chairman and chief executive officer of Ian Schrager Company will be presented with The IREFAC C. Everett Johnson Award for his innovation and his bold style, which have influenced hospitality and real estate development for more than five decades.
