Director's Message

Renée Harris

Welcome to the NYU-SCPS Programs in Finance, Law, and Taxation. Our comprehensive range of noncredit course offerings and certificate programs, and premiere tax conferences are designed to keep you up-to-date on changes at the cutting edge of your profession, to add to your professional repertoire, and to equip you in facing the challenges of today's competitive financial climate. Optimally located in New York City, the financial capital of the world, we provide you with a direct line to the latest developments, practices, and trends in your industry, whether you are a seasoned professional seeking career advancement, a career changer, or someone who has recently graduated.

Our programs span the breadth of the financial, legal, and taxation fields, delivering engaging, industry-driven curricula: programs that are taught by faculty members who are experienced leaders in their areas, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities that enhance your understanding of the subject matter and provide critical insights and networking opportunities.  Our Certificate in Financial Planning covers all 89 financial planning topics required by the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board of Standards, Inc.  We offer Financial Risk Manager (FRM) Exam prep courses that address today's most important topics, including forensic accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and fraud prevention. There are programs for students at all levels, from professionals who wish to explore a new specialty, to those whose work is impacted on a day-to-day basis by accounting, taxation, and legal matters.

We also host a series of annual, nationally recognized tax conferences that keep you abreast of the latest developments in your field, help you to earn or to maintain valuable industry credentials, and afford you the opportunity to network with some of today's top professionals. We look forward to helping you not only reach, but also to transcend your goals.

Sincerely,

Renée Harris, B.S., M.S.
