CLE and CPE Accreditation Information

Continuing Legal Education for New York Attorneys (CLE)

NYU-SCPS has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in the State of New York. Courses qualifying for CLE for newly admitted attorneys, for experienced attorneys, or for both, are identified in conjunction with each such course's description. NYU-SCPS provides a New York CLE Certificate of Attendance to attorneys in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines, including those regarding verification of attendance.

In compliance with the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board regulations and guidelines, NYU-SCPS offers financial aid to licensed New York attorneys facing financial hardship. For additional information or an application, please send a request by e-mail to scps.tax@nyu.edu.

Continuing Professional Education for Accountants (CPE)

NYU-SCPS holds a continuing education sponsor agreement with the New York State Department of Education, which authorizes the granting of continuing education credit in the following subject areas: accounting, auditing, taxation, advisory services, knowledge and applications related to specialized industries.  Courses offered outside the authorized subject areas will not be recognized for credit under this agreement.  For the acceptability of an individual course, please call NYU-SCPS at (212) 998-7200, or the New York State Department of Education at (518) 474-3836.
