The CGA Scenarios Initiative is a mediated workshop series that is designed to encourage cross-disciplinary thinking on countries and issues critical to U.S. national interests.
As a graduate student at the NYU School of Professional Studies Center for Global Affairs (CGA), you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in intensive course work around the world. Study-away electives combine classroom sessions that are held in NYC with short-term fieldwork in a host country. They provide you with the chance to ground yourself in the cultural and historical aspects of a region, while examining specific contemporary political, economic, and social realities firsthand.
The new initiative conducts research on and develops and hosts events that delve into cutting-edge predictive innovation and strategic foresight.
The Center for Global Affairs offers a variety of study-away options to broaden your horizons—culturally, politically, and socially.
The new CGA initiative, led by Dr. Thomas Hill, seeks to disseminate new knowledge about peacebuilding and to prepare the next generation to serve as effective peacebuilders.
The initiative, led by Dr. Mary Beth Altier, is dedicated to understanding and predicting non-traditional and new security threats, as well as exploring responses to these challenges.
