Curriculum

Taught by leading practitioners in the HR industry, our curriculum equips you to effectively manage human capital in today’s global organizations. It explores the principles of human resource management in a global economy, introduces you to quantitative modeling as a means of decision making, and delves into business strategy and ethics. The program allows you to develop a specialized orientation grounded in case studies and innovative practice in one of three areas: human resource development, organizational effectiveness, or human resource management.

The 42-credit M.S. in Human Resource Management and Development can be completed in two years of full-time study, or in up to five years of part-time study. Whether you are already a professional in the field, or you are just beginning your career, the program’s conveniently scheduled courses are tailored to fit your busy lifestyle. Classes are offered during evenings and on the weekends, and you have the option of taking them online or on-site.

Composed of core courses, a concentration, electives, and a capstone project, the curriculum is continually reevaluated and updated in response to industry needs and to provide you with the most up-to-date and relevant course of study.

The core curriculum is designed to provide you with a deep and broad foundation that supports concentration coursework and serves you throughout your career. Students are required to take all of the following courses.
