Director's Message

Whether you study with us as a graduate, certificate, or continuing education student, the marketing and public relations programs at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU-SCPS) are based on history and theory and rooted in industry. The knowledge you acquire is intellectually stimulating, relevant, and current. We offer two graduate programs, several professional certificates, and a wide range of continuing education courses.
The M.S. in Public Relations and Corporate Communication, now in its seventh year, is the world’s largest, on-site public relations graduate program. It has been recognized as being among the world’s best PR education programs and, in 2009 and 2010, was named the nation’s best program of its kind by PRWEEK. Our students include several Phi Beta Kappas, Fulbright scholars, LAGRANT scholars, and Johnson & Johnson fellows. Graduates of our M.S. in Integrated Marketing are poised to take on leadership roles across marketing specialties. Alumni of the program are working at Google Inc.; Nestlé; NBC Universal, Inc.; Elizabeth Arden, Inc.; Citigroup, Inc.; Microsoft, Razorfish, Digitas, and Ogilvy & Mather. Alumni from both programs stay actively connected, both personally and professionally, through student clubs and a joint alumni board.
Our noncredit programs in Marketing and Advertising, Marketing Research, Digital Media Marketing, Marketing Management, SAS Data Mining for Marketers, Public Relations, and Investor Relations are designed to address the needs of students with wide-ranging objectives: marketing and public relations professionals from agencies, corporations, and non-profit organizations who want to stay current; career changers who need to acquire functional skills; and those seeking to enter a graduate program or complement their graduate degree with certificate study in a particular area of specialization. Programs are available in a variety of convenient formats: day, evening, weekends, intensives, and online. Whatever your starting point, we have a pathway that will help you to achieve your goal.
Our faculty members are highly accomplished, senior professionals from the U.S. and abroad who have published some of the leading textbooks in their fields. Our students make connections with industry through practicums, internships, capstones, client-based case-study projects, as well as industry-focused networking events, forums, and conferences.
The need for talented marketing and public relations professionals is on the rise; if this is the field in which you want to make your mark, now is the opportune time to chart your path to success.
Sincerely,
