The healthcare industry is undergoing significant growth and change. The population is aging and has an increased need for healthcare and service. At the same time, rapidly evolving technology is producing new options for treatment. Hospitals are becoming larger and, in some cases, more specialized. New entities, such as health management organizations, group practices, long-term care centers, and hospices, have been formed to assist in the provision of healthcare services.
Graduates of the A.A.S. in Health Administration program are prepared to meet the challenges associated with becoming an effective manager in a variety of healthcare settings. This degree provides an introduction to health administration. It also offers an excellent foundation for those wishing to pursue McGhee's B.S. in Healthcare Management.
