Major Curriculum

The NYUSPS Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies core courses and required courses combine an in-depth exploration of the liberal arts with practical, professional studies that expand your critical thinking and analytical skills, increase your knowledge, and develop your intellect.

Students select 16 credits in Liberal Arts in consultation with their adviser. Green Design and Future of Organizations and Language of Contemporary Images are recommended.

16 Credits. Students are required to take the following courses.

Required Digital Communications and Media Courses

28 Credits. Students are required to take the following courses in this sequence.

Students who choose the Time-Based Media: Video and Motion Design concentration are required to take the following courses.

Students who choose the Interactive Media: Web and Mobile Devices concentration are required to take the following courses.

16 Credits. Students select an additional 16 credits from any Digital Communications and Media courses in consultation with their adviser, which may include the following Special Topics course. In addition to Digital Communications and Media courses, students may select courses in Leadership and Management Studies, Media Studies, and Information Systems Management in consultation with their adviser.
