Welcome to the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate that offers students a competitive advantage in the real estate, real estate development and construction industries through three graduate degree programs–the M.S. in Real Estate, M.S. in Real Estate Development, and the M.S in Construction Management–as well as through two graduate certificate programs in Real Estate and in Construction Management.
Our expansive, noncredit continuing education program serves industry professionals by offering a wide range of career enhancing courses, intensives, and certificate programs that are taught by full-time faculty members and by adjunct professors who are experts in their fields.
In addition to classroom and online study, our students have the opportunity to bring to fruition the expertise they acquire at NYU Schack in myriad ways, including creating development projects that allow them to demonstrate their understanding of market conditions and feasibility, analyzing the complexities of financing, or evaluating the design and planning criteria required to make a sustainable project successful. These experiences also bring our students into close contact with residents and stakeholders in local neighborhoods, making them aware of how the development process can impact a community.
In addition, our students have the opportunity to exchange ideas with industry leaders who speak at the three major conferences we host each year–Capital Markets in November, Sustainable Real Estate in February, and the REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) Symposium in April.
In this global city of New York and in industries that have gone global over the past three decades, our students also are branching out to experience and to study, firsthand, the range of real estate, development and construction projects being undertaken elsewhere in the United States, and abroad.
