Curriculum
The Graduate Certificate in Real Estate curriculum is designed to provide you with an in-depth overview of industry standards and practices that will serve you throughout your career. The program also satisfies a portion of the course requirements for the M.S. in Real Estate, the M.S. in Real Estate Development, and the M.S. in Construction Management, should you choose to continue your studies.
Tier I
Tier I courses lay the groundwork for understanding the legal and accounting environment in which transactions take place, as well as the macro forces underlying current and future demand for the various forms of real estate. Students also acquire the analytic tools requisite for valuing real estate assets.
Students are required to take all of the following courses.

Tier II
In Tier II courses, students analyze demand for a particular property type at a specific location and the options for financing that property. The Development Process course brings real estate and construction management students together to examine every phase, from proposal through contracts up to project completion. Students also learn to develop their own negotiating style and to explore the range of options within the arena of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
