Evening of Monopoly

The NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate's annual Evening of Monopoly, hosted by the Alumni Association, raises funds for student and for programmatic support. Over the years, it has grown to become an integral part of NYU Schack's professional and alumni networking events.

The Evening of Monopoly brings top real estate industry executives together to network and to partake in a game of Monopoly® alongside current and former students of the NYU Schack Institute.

Net proceeds from the event are used exclusively to support NYU Schack initiatives such as scholarships, career development initiatives, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and new academic programs.

2013 Honoree

The 20th Anniversary celebration of the Schack Institute of Real Estate Evening of Monopoly, will be held on May 1, 2013, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. in Gilbert Court at The Morgan Library & Museum. This year, we will recognize alumnus Michael P. Higgins ('92), as the Honorary Banker.

Mr. Higgins is a source of great pride for the NYU Schack Institute. He currently serves as the managing director and head of Real Estate Finance at CIBC World Markets Corp, the wholesale banking arm of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). He is one of the most active and respected property finance executives in the United States. Having joined CIBC in 1996, he has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of the industry and has been involved in the financing of more than $50 billion in commercial property transactions.
