Conference on Capital Markets in Real Estate

48th Annual Conference on Capital Markets in Real Estate

Capital Markets Discovers Urban Cool: Real Estate Through the Lens of the Creative Economy

Cities are melting pots of human creativity and innovation. With more than half of the world's population currently living in them—over three billion people—and an estimated 60 million more moving to them every year, cities and the creative talent they attract, are becoming the driving force of future economic growth. Thanks to the creative class appeal, amenities, and "urban cool" factor of cities, start-up ventures and many businesses are shifting back to their urban core and are dramatically transforming the real estate landscape, requiring innovative and flexible office, residential, shared, retail, and hospitality space and experiences.

At the 48th Annual Conference on Capital Markets in Real Estate, real estate leaders joined a deep bench of other key industry influencers to explore "urban cool" and the growing and changing real estate demands of the creative economy.
