The Tisch Center offers a variety of career management programs and services to support your professional growth. Based upon your academic and professional interests, you are matched with a Tisch Center faculty mentor who helps you to expand your knowledge of career options and the job-search process, and who facilitates networking opportunities. Additionally, the Tisch Center offers personalized career services through dedicated, full-time staff who provide resources and support for students, alumni, and potential employers. Career-planning programs, workshops, and counseling sessions are available to students and graduates. A global roster of hospitality, tourism, and sports management organizations participate in on-campus recruiting; information sessions; résumé collection; panels, mock interviews, and classroom visits; and career fairs.

Upon entering the program at both the undergraduate and graduate level, students attend faculty-taught professional seminars to enhance their career development. Topics include résumé and cover letter development as well as interviewing strategies; alumni and executives serve as guest speakers, providing advice and contacts.

Networking begins with the Tisch Center’s own supportive community of alumni and professional contacts. You will quickly establish a network of peers and faculty members. The Tisch Center also provides extraordinary access to industry leaders through panel discussions and events featuring noted experts. Specialized groups, such as The Tisch Center Alumni Society, offer networking and mentorship opportunities. Our network of student professional organizations sponsors annual Shadow Day, which matches industry professionals with students interested in their particular area of expertise, among other career development events.
