To ensure a smooth application process we suggest that you read through all the information about the admissions process before you compile your materials.
We encourage you to use our online application to expedite your admission process.
ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE
The Admissions Committee reviews applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. If you apply during the fall or spring of the current academic year, the Admissions Committee will review your application within two weeks of receipt of a complete application. If you apply at or around the priority deadline, it may take as long as six weeks for your application to be reviewed. The SCPS Office of Admissions does not issue decisions over the telephone. We will notify you by mail about your admission status.
The application process is self managed, which means that all required elements of the application are gathered by the applicant and sent to New York University. Only standardized test score results (and sometimes transcripts) are sent under separate cover by outside agencies. Applications will be reviewed for admission only when complete. You should make and retain copies of all application materials.
Official transcripts and letters of recommendation should be sent to you by registrars and evaluators. If a college or university will not release official transcripts to you, then please have the documents(s) sent directly to New York University, Office of Admissions, 145 Fourth Avenue, Room 219, New York, NY 10003.
After you have collected all the application components, we strongly suggest that you fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applicants who wish to be considered for a Merit Scholarship or the Dean’s Fellowship must fill out the FAFSA.
If you are interested in taking a test preparation course, you may review available courses offered by the SCPS Office of Career Management.
READY TO APPLY
When you have gathered all information and supporting documents, including transcripts in sealed envelopes, resume, recommendations, personal statement, and graduate test scores, you are ready to apply online. You are able to submit your resume, recommendations, and other documents online.
Alternately, you can mail your application and the materials to the SCPS Office of Admissions, including a nonrefundable application fee of $75 in the form of a check or money order made payable to New York University. Applications submitted without fees will not be processed.
