About the Paul McGhee Division

Welcome to the Paul McGhee Division

The Paul McGhee Division of the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU-SCPS) provides a world-class education to adult students who are interested in returning to school to earn their undergraduate degree after a short hiatus or a lengthier period of time. The Division also welcomes transfer students from community colleges and 4-year institutions of higher learning. It is appropriately named for Paul McGhee, who served as dean for nearly 20 years at the NYU Division of General Education (today the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies), and who was internationally renowned for creating innovative university programs that directly addressed the needs, and cultivated and nurtured the interests of adult and part-time students.

When you enroll in the McGhee Division, you become part of a stimulating intellectual community that brings students of all ages and all levels of work experience together to learn from accomplished and dedicated faculty members in a dynamic, yet highly supportive environment.
