Undergraduate Admissions: International Students
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
To ensure a smooth application process, we suggest that you carefully review all the
information about the application process. If you submit a complete application to the SCPS Office
of Admissions, a written decision will be sent to you in the mail within two weeks of the date we
received your application. The SCPS Office of Admissions does not provide admissions decisions by
telephone.
The State Board of Education requires that New York University has official transcripts
(sealed) in your permanent file. Although we will review your file with copies of documents,
all official documents must be submitted within the first semester of study. If you do not submit
the required documents, you will not be allowed to continue your studies after the first semester.
All admitted students are required to take the Math and Writing Placement Exams. After you
receive an admissions decision, you will be required to take two diagnostic exams. These exams are
used as an academic advisement tool and will assist your academic advisor in setting up an academic
plan.
Students applying to A.A.S in Diagnostic Medical Sonography are required to complete the Math
and Writing Placement Tests before admission.
