Alumni Awards

THE BART LAWSON ALUMNI AWARD FOR SERVICE

The NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU-SCPS) encourages social responsibility and recognizes members of our alumni community for exemplary accomplishments in the community and in the industries they serve with the Bart Lawson Alumni Award for Service.

This award is in honor of Bart Lawson, an alumnus of the NYU-SCPS Paul McGhee Division, philanthropist, and active member of the community.

Awards are distributed in the following categories:

  • Public Service
    This category recognizes an alumnus who have developed an innovative approach to a social, educational, environmental, health, economic, or legal issue within a community.
  • Professional Service and Outreach
    This category recognizes an alumnus who connects his or her expertise and scholarship with community outreach.
  • Humanitarianism
    This category recognizes the extraordinary contributions of an alumnus committed to the education of others through participation in community service and alleviating human suffering anywhere in the world.

The Bart Lawson Alumni Award for Service is presented annually during NYU’s Alumni Weekend, held in October.
