DIPLOMA IN PARALEGAL STUDIES
The Institute of Paralegal Studies trains individuals entering the paralegal field in legal
concepts and vocabulary, as well as in the practical aspects of working in the legal profession.
Graduates of this diploma program are qualified to be legal assistants in organizations where
knowledge of law is required. The program combines a strong foundation in legal concepts with
practical, technical training in specialized areas. The program is taught by a faculty of prominent
attorneys from the metropolitan area.
The Paralegal Diploma Program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). At NYU, we
teach traditional, library-based research methods using the world-class NYU School of Law Library.
We also teach computer-based research using WESTLAW, an online legal database. Begin your career
