“..I actually like most of the people I am teaching and I’m willing to help them advance their careers any way I can.”

When it comes to the advantage that NYU-SCPS has over other schools, it all comes down to one major difference: location. Its location in a world capital means access to instructors who have worked in their field for many years. It’s one of the school’s most innovative features. I’ve taught here for six years and personally, I bring 33 years as a working journalist to my curriculum. Over the years, I’ve gotten dozens of student articles published by the New York Post, the New York Times, and elsewhere. That’s how my students meet industry people. This wouldn’t be possible if the school were located anywhere else. As for other reasons that NYU-SCPS prevails: it’s inexpensive; students network with industry professionals; the location is great; the times are flexible; and the school has an incredible reputation. Furthermore, I really enjoy the diversity of the students in the continuing ed programa lot of them have become friends over the years, even colleagues, so I actually like most of the people I am teaching and I’m willing to help them advance their careers any way I can.
