CERTIFICATE IN ART COLLECTION MANAGEMENT AND DISPLAY

This program provides students with the skills necessary to work as professionals in a field crucial to a broad range of art institutions in roles such as registrars, exhibition designers, collections managers, art handlers, and exhibition installers.

Upon completion of the program, students have:

  • An understanding of how to manage and care for art and artifact collections, including skills in registration, cataloging, and documentation.
  • Insight and resources to develop and implement collections management policy in the care and conservation of objects.
  • Practical skills in the handling and display of art objects and the development of exhibition design.

The certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete three required courses and two 10-session electives.
