Aside from the status of its name and the high quality of the faculty, one of the great aspects of NYU-SCPS is the networking option available to students. Networking time and opportunities are something I include in all my courses and I make myself available to review resumes and business plans on my own time so that I can connect students to each other and potential employers and clients. I also encourage students to enroll in professional organizations as student members. I’ve practiced interior design for 20 years and taught it for 10 and I think the flexibility of the program, with so many weekend and evening classes, allows a student to achieve completion of a program in a short time. And the location couldn’t be more convenient—all the resources are right here—with experts for speakers and great field trip opportunities.
