I’ve always been attracted to the law and dreamed of becoming an attorney but before committing to Law School, I wanted a feel for the legal profession, so I became a paralegal. I searched for an ABA-approved, short-term paralegal program designed for college graduates that would offer evening classes so I could go to school in the city right after work. It was important for the program to be diverse and offer classes in various fields of law, to maximize my job opportunities.

From the outset, it was clear that NYU offered a stronger foundation and technical training and its impeccable reputation and prestige assured me that I’d made the right choice. As a paralegal in commercial litigation at Merrill Lynch I can honestly say that the program helped me acquire this position. My skill set improved in every single area needed to become a successful paralegal. I got practical training rather than lecturing experience and my instructors were extremely knowledgeable and dedicated professionals.
