"What makes the School unique is the flow of people and ideas, which creates a sense of real excitement and possibility that would be impossible to replicate anywhere else."

At NYU-SCPS faculty members essentially create their courses, based on their experience, so each course is different, even when the subjects sound the same. I’ve been teaching since 1981 with roughly 35 years of experience in the corporate, agency, nonprofit, and government arenas. And being in New York is terrific—it puts the School right in the center of the media world in a city that attracts a great many public relations agencies, as well as foreign and domestic PR departments in the corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors.
What makes the School unique is the flow of people and ideas, which creates a sense of real excitement and possibility that would be impossible to replicate anywhere else. The networking at NYU is also a very big part of the school experience. I always encourage students to attend the alumni networking sessions held once a month at the Torch Club. I also send out regular e-mails to all my students and graduates regarding networking events, job openings, and other matters of interest. We also benefit from a very supportive administration. I find it a pleasure to teach at NYU-SCPS.
