This flexible curriculum is designed to allow students, particularly those considering an MBA program, to take individual courses or tailor the program to meet specific professional interests and goals.
Upon completion of the program, students gain a broad understanding of corporate finance, including expertise in areas such as:
Financial management and corporate growth, including the use of both internal and external funds. Equity and debt financings. Mergers and acquisitions. Initial public offerings. Corporate restructurings. Joint ventures and other strategic alliances. Derivatives transactions, including pricing and valuation techniques. Securitizations. Roles and perspectives of investment bankers and other transaction advisors.
This certificate in Investment Banking is offered with a specialization in Sales and Trading or a specialization in Research Analysis. Candidates must complete five courses from the required courses section and then take three elective courses from the candidate's choice of specialization. For candidates who wish both specializations, six elective courses are required.
NOTE: Students who began working toward the Investment Banking Certificate without specializations may complete their course of study in accordance with the requirements that were in effect at the time they commenced their studies with the University.
