Wealth management goes beyond recommending stocks or investments. This certificate is designed to enhance the relationship between a trusted advisor and a high-net-worth client to achieve financial and personal goals over a lifetime. Upon completion of the program, students have attained the following:
This certificate in Wealth Management is offered with specializations in Traditional and Alternative Investing or with a specialization in Business Enterprise. Candidates must complete five courses from the required courses section and then take three elective courses from the candidate's choice of specialization. For candidates who wish both specializations, six elective courses are required.
NOTE: This certificate is being phased out beginning in spring 2010. Students who have already begun the certificate have a full year, until spring 2011, to complete it. Students who began working toward the Wealth Management Certificate without specializations may complete their course of study in accordance with the requirements that were in effect at the time they commenced their studies with the University.
