INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS
The Center for Global Affairs at NYU, located in downtown Manhattan in the historic Woolworth
Building, sits at the hub of the international political, economic, cultural, and social scene. The
United Nations, the majority of consular offices, Wall Street and the stock exchange, leading
international businesses, and many nonprofit organizations are all in close proximity to the
Center.
Each of these international institutions and communities draws from and lends expertise to
the programs that we offer. There is not another city in the world that can match New York’s
commercial, cultural, and political activity.
In contrast to traditional global affairs programs, ours is set apart by our connection to
leaders from nearly every sector. Our students, participants, and instructors are professionals
from the international arena, including embassies, government offices, NGOs, peer educational
institutions, and multinational corporations, among others—all sharing their ideas and knowledge at
the Center for Global Affairs.
Our lecture series, seminars, and events, which feature renowned public figures like Hillary
Clinton, Nicholas Kristof, and Hans Blix, continue to draw capacity crowds.
