Getting into NYU’s Graphic Communications Management and Technology program gave me the opportunity to move from California to New York and delve into the graphic communications and publishing industry. It’s given me a very strong sense of professional and personal growth and the confidence to take on new professional challenges.

I picked NYU because it is a world-renowned institution in the heart of publishingseveral segments of the industry were born, developed, and flourished here. The courses in graphic communications were very current, always being updated to stay abreast of current technology and emerging trends. And because of its geography, NYU can draw top industry professionals and educators who have a real passion for educating members of the industry and passing on their knowledge. Learning from working professionals, we addressed real issues that students might face in a work situation. We also received a lot of support from the Board of Directors who committed to introducing students to industry professionals through events such as alumni presentations and educational seminars. I also loved the fact that my curriculum covered so much groundeverything from technology to managing personnel.
