The Graduate Certificate in Information Technologies focuses on managing database technologies by
developing the necessary skills and knowledge of today’s most widely used tools for gathering,
storing, accessing, and utilizing information. They build the managerial and technical competencies
demanded by today’s technology-driven business world, and examine the more technical aspects of
managing technology resources, including database management systems, information communication
networks, and data and network administration and security. This six-course, 18-credit graduate
certificate program is excellent preparation to meet the myriad needs of this ever-evolving
industry. The certificate can be completed in two semesters.
Graduate certificates are ideal for those who want to acquire a broader knowledge of the
material the concentration courses offer, without committing to the complete M.S. in Management and
Systems curriculum. While enrolled in a graduate certificate program, you may apply for entrance
into the Master of Science in Management and Systems Program. Courses in the graduate certificate
programs may be used to satisfy some course requirements for the master’s degree. The majority of
graduate certificate students transfer into the degree program.
