CERTIFICATE IN BUSINESS PROJECT MANAGEMENT
This credential is designed for individuals with little or no project management experience, as well as those looking to add to their ability. The program provides the skills necessary to operate as a project manager (PM) in a variety of industries, including business and IT. NYU has been reviewed and approved as a provider of project management training by the Project Management Institute (PMI). As a PMI Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.), NYU has agreed to abide by PMI-established quality assurance criteria.
Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to:
Take the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam, the industry credential. Manage a project from start to finish and communicate effectively with a project team. Understand contracts and procurement for projects. Use Microsoft Project software. Identify and use the skills described in the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).
This certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete five required courses. Basic Project Management/X52.8600 is strongly recommended for students with less than two years of project management experience.
