CERTIFICATE IN IT AUDIT
The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, designed to guarantee the integrity of the financial statements of public companies, has created increased responsibilities for IT auditors. The certificate program provides IT auditors, internal auditors, and information security professionals with the skills they need to succeed in their professional disciplines. The curriculum is designed to augment auditing and security skills that can be applied by internal and external IT auditors. The program is also relevant to technologists and managers who are not auditors, as the impact of auditing pervades all areas in an organization.
Upon completion of the certificate, students have:
Knowledge and technical skills necessary for IT auditing. Best practices and pragmatic techniques that can be applied by internal and external IT auditors. The skills necessary to plan and execute an IT audit.
This certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete five courses--two core courses, followed by three advanced electives.
