CERTIFICATE IN JAVA PROGRAMMING

Programming in Java allows you to harness the power of the network. Because Java runs on browsers, desktops, servers, and even consumer devices like mobile devices, it is widely used for Web-based applications by both software developers and by companies building in-house applications. Whether or not you have prior programming experience, this certificate is your passport to a career as a Java programmer. Participants who have never programmed before should start with Java Basics for New Programmers/INFO1-CE9238.

Upon completion of the program, students are able to:

• Develop server-side applications and write software that runs on multiple platforms.
• Create Java programs that run in a Web browser or mobile device.
• Understand Java technologies, including J2EE, J2ME, and XML.

This certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete the required courses in Option 1 or Option 2. Option 2 includes one elective.
