CERTIFICATE IN NETWORK ADMINISTRATION
Today's enterprises rely on computer networks to transmit data, distribute processing, and share access to resources such as printers. Network administrators set up these networks and keep them functioning. This certificate prepares you to administer enterprise-class networks. It can also be a first step toward a career in network design, security, IP telephony, wireless communications, storage networking, or one of many other specialized fields.
This certificate is designed for intermediate-level IT professionals who already understand basic networking concepts.
Upon completion of the program, students are prepared for CISCO's CCNA certification exam and are able to:
Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and dial access services for networks. Install and maintain routers, switches, modems, and data services. Control network addresses, protocols, routing, name resolution, and assignment of TCP and UDP socket numbers. Assume responsibility for installing, configuring, and maintaining network security.
This certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete one required course.
