The Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management defines and examines the types of risk,
with a focus on understanding the process of risk identification, assessment, prevention,
insurance, mitigation, and recovery; governance, auditing, and control of the confidentiality;
integrity; and availability of data.
Using common operational, strategic, tactical, and technological scenarios, the coursework
provides you with a comprehensive approach to the challenges faced by managers where global data is
readily available, risk is pervasive, regulations are ever-increasing, and the threat of disruption
from potential crises is real.
This six-course, 18-credit graduate certificate program is excellent preparation to meet the
ever-evolving needs of industry. The certificate can be completed in two semesters.
Graduate certificates are ideal for those who want to acquire a broader knowledge of the
material the concentration courses offer, without committing to the complete M.S. in Management and
Systems curriculum. While enrolled in a graduate certificate program, you may apply for entrance
into the Master of Science in Management and Systems. Graduate certificate courses may be used to
satisfy some requirements for the master’s degree. The majority of graduate certificate students
transfer into the degree program.
