Designed by leaders in the coaching industry, this certificate offers a unique professional credential for those looking to begin or further their career in coaching. The Certificate in Coaching offers two concentrations: Personal and Life Coaching or Organizational and Executive Coaching. Students are required to successfully complete a total of seven courses. The five required courses must be taken in the following order: The first two required courses are Foundations of Coaching I and II; then the Skills and Practices course specific to their concentration (Personal Skills and Practices/X49.9840 or Organizational Coaching Skills and Practices/X49.9870); then a Coaching Practicum; then finally the Master Class in Coaching, which cannot be taken until all other certificate requirements are complete. The two electives may be taken at any time after Foundations of Coaching I and II, but before the Master Class.Students sign up for the Coaching Practicum after the Skills and Practices course in order to conduct coaching engagements and gain feedback from the Coaching Practicum instructors and peers.
The Master Class in Coaching/COCH1-CE9803 cannot be taken until all other certificate requirements are complete.
