Announcing a new executive leadership certificate for mid- to senior-level professionals looking to improve their leadership skills and organizational effectiveness.
Focused on developing potential and growing skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive business environment, the year-long program is comprised of core courses that provide a comprehensive overview of strategic business leadership; options for concentrations in Managing the Business, Managing the People, or Managing the Process that allow students to align their education with their career goals; and a final capstone project. Students take on a real organization as a client, understand its actual leadership issues disclosed by the board or senior executives, and work to focus and apply course content and techniques learned throughout the program to solve them—culminating in a final presentation.
The executive certificate program provides professionals with an overview of strategic business leadership. Upon completion, participants are able to:
Students are required to take both core courses and choose two courses from each of the three concentrations. Students are also required to take the Special Project in Strategic Business Leadership, which runs throughout the entire program of study (one year) and is presented as a final project for the completion of the program. The entire certificate program consists of a total of nine courses. Each course runs for one and a half days. Courses are offered quarterly in pairs for a total of four, three-day sessions. The Special Project is incorporated into the meeting pattern as four hours per quarter, and worked on throughout the entire year.
