CERTIFICATE IN TRAINING

Advance in the corporate environment by building your skills as a trainer. If you are a professional in the training industry, this certificate program provides you with the framework to apply your training skills within your organization, start or grow your own corporate training consultancy practice, or prepare for a management role in training. The Certificate in Training offers three concentrations:

Instruction and Enterprise Learning: Professionals who aspire to or currently train in corporations or nonprofit organizations learn how to design instructional materials, engage and motivate learners, demonstrate effective facilitation and questioning skills, practice instructional methods and strategies, use media and technology to enhance learning and performance, and evaluate instructional effectiveness.

Training Consulting: Those who aspire to or currently consult for training departments in corporations or nonprofit organizations learn to design instructional materials, engage and motivate learners, demonstrate effective facilitation and questioning skills, practice instructional methods and strategies, perform needs assessments to understand client requirements for a training engagement, manage training project creation, and measure training return on investment.

Training Management: Professionals who aspire to or currently manage a training function attain the skills and framework to effectively manage a training department. Students learn to demonstrate training manager competencies according to industry standards; analyze business and organizational conditions; set and communicate strategy as it pertains to the training function; demonstrate effective presentation techniques in order to present training strategies and plans; develop and monitor a strategic training plan; and use performance analysis to measure training and organizational effectiveness.
