"I think that to be truly successful in this industry, you need the breadth of knowledge this program offers."
I found out about the M.S. in Integrated Marketing (formerly Direct and Interactive Marketing) program when I was looking into getting an M.B.A. I chose the program because it captured my interest in a way traditional M.B.A. programs didn’t—it was so much more focused on the industry in which I had established myself. And it proved to be truly the right decision. The curriculum targeted my individual interests and the topics I studied, such as e-commerce and database marketing. I knew these courses would immediately help me professionally to achieve a management role. I think that to be truly successful in this industry, you need the breadth of knowledge this program offers.
The program combines technical aspects of direct and interactive marketing with management principles. Much of our class time was devoted to group projects, and all the teamwork helped me immeasurably. Outside of class, the student run Direct and Interactive Marketing Association enhanced the feeling of community within the program. It gave us the opportunity to socialize and make networking connections. And really, it gave us a sense that when we graduated, we all did it together. I still keep in contact with a lot of people I met through the program, and I feel very much connected to the program even now that I’ve graduated.
