The healthcare industry is undergoing significant growth and change. Our population is aging and
has increased the need for healthcare and service. At the same time, changing technology is
producing new options in treatment. Hospitals are becoming larger and, in some cases, more
specialized. New organizations, such as health management organizations, group practices, long-term
care centers, and hospices, have formed to assist in the provision of healthcare services.
Graduates of this program are prepared to meet the challenges associated with becoming an effective
manager in a variety of healthcare settings.
This degree provides an introduction to Health Administration. It also offers an excellent
foundation for those wishing to pursue the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management.
